We prepare and package over 4,000 meals per day in our industrial kitchen and distribute them throughout the St. Louis area, to both our storefront locations and direct-to-customer homes. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Hospitality Manager who embodies our mission, delivers exceptional service, and creates meaningful connections with each and every customer.
Position Summary
The Hospitality Manager owns the operations, team development, and business performance of 4 - 5 fit-flavors locations. You lead from the floor on peak days while directing your team, making staffing and operational decisions, handling customer escalations, and managing administrative responsibilities — with the autonomy and responsibility to drive consistency across your stores. You are the bridge between daily store operations and district-level leadership, and you serve as the District Manager’s primary backup.
Responsibilities
- Own the operations, staffing, and guest experience across your assigned portfolio of 4–5 stores
- Serve as acting District Manager when the DM is unavailable
- Manage cross-store staffing, scheduling, and labor against budget
- Make hiring, termination, promotion, and disciplinary decisions with authority
- Identify systemic operational issues across stores and design solutions
- Direct, coach, and develop all Hospitality Specialists across your portfolio
- Proactively and constantly collaborate with all other Hospitality Managers to ensure consistency across all fit-flavors locations
- Plan and lead Pre-Shift meetings; set daily priorities and assign responsibilities
- Make staffing and scheduling decisions across your portfolio, working with other Hospitality Managers as necessary to ensure all stores are appropriately staffed
- Interview, hire, train, and onboard new Hospitality Specialists
- Conduct coaching conversations and progressive discipline when needed
- Conduct Quarterly Status Checks (e.g. performance reviews) for all Hospitality Specialists across your portfolio
- Conduct regular 1:1s to deeply understand your employees
- Maintain staffing in alignment with the Labor Plan; hire proactively when possible
- Identify and develop team members for lead responsibilities
- Monitor store performance metrics and take corrective action to meet targets (e.g. selling meals before expiration to avoid discounts and spoilage, store Google Review goals, secret shopper ratings, etc.)
- Handle facility and vendor issues for your stores (maintenance, equipment, supplies, etc.)
- Participate in the shared customer service rotation, resolving tickets, managing ordering issues, and coordinating across departments
- Resolve customer escalations and de-escalations from any store with confidence and professionalism
- Plan and execute menu changeovers, promotional launches, and seasonal transitions at your stores
- Own administrative responsibilities across your portfolio (ordering, business licenses, health inspection documentation, etc.)
- Manage store opening/closing procedures, daily cash reconciliation, and food safety compliance
- Participate in the Weekend Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation
- Attend and support community events and marketing activations
- Respond to store alarms and emergencies for assigned locations 24/7
- Deliver exemplary hospitality to every guest while on the floor

- Customer escalations are resolved quickly and professionally
- CS/admin responsibilities are completed on time and with accuracy
- Stores operate in full compliance with food safety and company standards
Expectations
- Maintain a minimum average of 40 hours per week; expect cyclical nature in time working
- Maintain presence across all stores you manage, consistently visiting 2+ stores per day
- Be present on the floor during peak-traffic hours at your stores
- Demonstrate schedule flexibility to support your portfolio and provide coverage at any fit-flavors location as needed
- Participate in the Weekend MOD rotation
- Uphold and model the fit-flavors Code of Conduct in every interaction
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and with positive intent
- Maintain professional appearance and set a positive, welcoming energy
- Respond constructively to feedback and actively apply coaching
- Stay engaged and responsive on Slack and company communication channels
Education & Experience
- Required: BS/BA Nutrition, Dietetics, Business, or similar OR Certified Personal Trainer
- Required: Proven commitment to a healthy lifestyle as demonstrated by habits and confirmed by social media and provided references.
- Successfully complete the fit-flavors Hospitality Growth Track within 6 months of hire.
- Proven ability to manage, develop, and hold accountable multiple direct reports across locations
- Strong analytical skills — ability to interpret performance data and turn it into action
- Proficiency with customer service systems, e-commerce platforms, and cross-department tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead through influence
- Deep commitment to health, nutrition, and the fit-flavors mission
Physical Requirements & Schedule
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods
- Ability to work in a 40°F cooler environment
- Ability to lift 25 lb cases of food unassisted
- Ability to travel between multiple store locations
- Full-time; 40-50 hours/week; flexible schedule including peak days, weekends, holidays, and 24/7 alarm response; expect seasons of increased availability needs as we grow
