CTR Group is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer - SolidWorks for an Aerospace Company in the Newport News, VA area. Pay Rate: $30 per Hour and Benefits SUMMARY:Seeking Designers with 3D Design and SolidWorks expertise to develop 3D solid models of mechanical components and assembliesProvide CAD models at various stages of the design developmentCreate 3D surface models according to aerodynamic profilesWork closely with Engineering to refine design and solve problemsInteract with the Fabrication staff to ensure manufacturabilityInteract with Programming staff to ensure content of solid modelSelect standard components for use in the designPerform material selection and sizing of componentsREQUIREMENTS:Associate's degree and 3 + years of related experience (aerospace, automotive, or other 3D surfacing experience), or equivalent combinationSolidWorks proficiency required Solid modeling experienceUnderstanding of GD&TUS citizenship requiredCTR Group has been a leader in its industry for over 30 years and is rated highly on Google, Indeed and Facebook for being a great company to work for.
