About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to provide direct behavior analysis services. The BT plays a crucial role in implementing behavior intervention plans, teaching essential skills, and promoting independence for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while receiving ongoing training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Provide direct, one-on-one behavioral support in home and community settings.
- Teach essential life skills, communication, and independence strategies.
- Accurately collect and record data on client progress.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, clinical supervisors, and other team members.
- Maintain professionalism, adhere to ethical guidelines, and follow company policies.
- Complete all required training and certification processes within assigned timeframes.
Qualifications
· Minimum of a high school diploma and at least 18 years of age.
· Reliable transportation.
· Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
· Ability to complete required documentation and meet training deadlines.
· Northern CA applicants only: Must complete a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program before the start date and obtain RBT certification within 60 days of employment.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disabilities.
- Ability to pass a level two background check.
- Negative tuberculosis (TB) test.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Verifiable work references.
- Immunization & COVID-19 vaccination requirements (unless exempt).
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift 20–50 lbs., and perform physical tasks as needed.
