Buyer / Procurement Specialist at prosource.it- Americas

.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support day-to-day purchasing and expediting activities across our operations. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting ongoing procurement strategies. • Process requisitions and issue purchase orders with accuracy and speed.
• Ensure correct pricing, terms, and supplier information across all transactions.
• Track open orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve order discrepancies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers on daily order-related questions.
• Obtain quotes, compare vendor options, and support pricing verification.
• Maintain procurement data and documentation within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with inventory, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Support procurement reporting and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval workflows, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
• Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, or similar) strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-site or inventory-driven operations.
• Familiarity with supplier management or sourcing activities.
• Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with data.

Location: Houston 77079, TX (Energy Corridor)

Hours: 40 hours per week. HYBRID.

Engagement: W2

Salary: $60-65K per annum depending on experience

Travel: Some travel required
