SHOP COMBO PIPE WELDER-MCALLEN at The STI Group

STI Group is seeking full-time pipe welders for fabrication projects in our shops in the McAllen, Tx area. We offer competitive pay based on experience with some overtime available. Job candidates should be experienced welders who are hard working, committed to quality performance, and able to weld in TIG (GTAW) MIG (GMAW) and FLUX-CORE (FCAW) process on pipe. Welders must be proficient in setting up and operating welding machines, maintaining the arc length and speed, and ensuring penetration depth and fusion.

Job Overview & Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug test
• Pass 2″ XXH TIG (GTAW) CS weld test in 6G position
• Pass 5″ XXH – Hard wire bead (GMAW), then flux core fill and cap (FLUX)
• Work in confined areas
• Personal commitment to safety
