We're seeking a hands-on Fulfillment Center Night Shift Manager who owns the end-to-end performance of Wantable’s night shift operations at our Milwaukee Fulfillment Center.
About The Role
The Fulfillment Center Night Shift Manager leads overnight fulfillment operations at Wantable’s Milwaukee Fulfillment Center. This role is accountable for independent shift execution, team leadership, operational decision-making, safety, quality, and cross-shift readiness.
The Fulfillment Center Night Shift Manager will also use data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to optimize labor, reduce errors, improve workflows, and deliver consistent fulfillment performance.
What You'll Do
Night Shift Fulfillment Operations
- Own end-to-end overnight fulfillment execution across picking, packing, returns, receiving, and inventory activities.
- Make real-time operational decisions to protect service levels, productivity, accuracy, safety, and cost performance.
- Adjust labor, priorities, and workflow based on volume, capacity, system insights, and operational constraints.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and associates to create accountability, consistency, and strong shift performance.
- Ensure associates are trained, cross-trained, and capable of executing essential fulfillment tasks accurately and safely.
- Partner with HR and site leadership on hiring, performance management, employee relations, corrective action, and terminations.
Operational Excellence, Data, and Automation
- Use KPIs, dashboards, labor planning tools, and system reporting to identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process insights to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and strengthen overnight execution.
- Support operational pilots, system upgrades, and process changes during overnight hours.
Safety, Compliance, and Cross-Shift Communication
- Enforce safety standards and maintain a disciplined, compliant warehouse environment.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety and labor requirements.
- Ensure accurate shift handoffs by communicating results, risks, staffing updates, and operational priorities to day and second shift leaders.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse leadership experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse leadership experience, preferably in overnight operations.
- Experience leading fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse operations with 50+ employees on a shift.

- Ability to work scheduled night-shift hours between 7:00 PM and 5:30 AM.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular presence and engagement on the fulfillment center floor. The Fulfillment Center Night Shift Manager must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the role, including those regularly performed by fulfillment associates when needed to support operations, training, troubleshooting, or staffing needs.
Responsibilities and physical requirements include:
- Frequently walking and standing for extended periods throughout the fulfillment center.
- Regularly bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs and ladders.
- Safely lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials, equipment, and product weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Operating safely in a warehouse environment with moving equipment, conveyors, and varying noise levels.
- Navigating all areas of the facility, including elevated work areas accessible by ladder.
- Demonstrating and assisting with fulfillment center tasks, including receiving, picking, packing, inventory management, and returns processing as business needs require.
- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and complying with all safety requirements.
