Contract type: Full time

Charlotte, NC | Full-Time | In-Office

Competitive Base + Uncapped Commission

2+ Years MCA / Alternative Business Finance Experience Required

You Know How to Close Deals. Ready to Do It Somewhere You Can Build?

You know the MCA and alternative finance industry.

You know how to read a deal, understand what a business owner needs, navigate underwriting and approvals, present funding options, overcome objections, and get deals funded.

Now you're looking for the right company to put that experience to work.

A strong pipeline. Warm opportunities. Experienced leadership. Uncapped earning potential. And the opportunity to help build something bigger.

If you're an experienced business funding closer, we want to talk to you.

Welcome to Small Biz Heroes

At Small Biz Heroes, we're on a mission to help entrepreneurs win.

We help small business owners access honest guidance, responsible capital, and funding solutions that move their businesses forward. Every conversation is an opportunity to build trust, solve problems, and make a lasting impact.

And we're growing.

Our Business Funding Associates, referral partners, and marketing systems are generating opportunities. We're looking for an experienced Funding Manager who knows how to take qualified business owners through the funding process and get deals across the finish line.

Why Join Small Biz Heroes?

You shouldn't have to spend your entire day hunting for someone to sell to.

Our growing sales team, referral partner network, and marketing systems generate opportunities for our Funding Managers to work.

Your job is to know what to do with them.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your entire day hunting for someone to sell to.

You'll receive qualified opportunities generated through our growing sales team, referral network, and marketing channels so you can focus on what you do best: structuring deals, building trust, and closing business.

You'll work directly alongside our VP of Sales and CEO, both of whom are actively closing business today, while helping us build the next generation of the Small Biz Heroes sales organization.

And we're not trying to build another MCA shop.

We're building an education-first funding company where doing what's right for the business owner matters.

What You Will Do

As a Funding Manager, you'll take qualified business funding opportunities from discovery through funding.

You'll:

  • Take qualified opportunities generated by our Business Funding Associates, referral partners, and marketing channels.
  • Understand each business owner's needs and identify appropriate MCA, working capital, term loan, line of credit, equipment financing, and other funding solutions.
  • Work with lenders and funding partners to obtain and evaluate approvals.
  • Present funding options, navigate objections, negotiate when appropriate, and close funded deals.
  • Guide clients through underwriting, documentation, and funding.
  • Collaborate with our sales and operations teams to keep deals moving while managing an accurate pipeline in Salesforce.

You'll Thrive Here If You…

  • Have 2+ years of proven experience in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), alternative business finance, or small business lending.
  • Have a demonstrated track record of closing business funding transactions.
  • Understand underwriting, deal structure, lender relationships, approvals, and the funding process.
  • Can confidently discuss rates, terms, payment structures, and financing options with business owners.
  • Know how to overcome objections, earn trust, and move deals forward.
  • Take ownership of your pipeline, follow-up, and results in a fast-moving sales environment.
  • Are competitive, coachable, and excited to help build a growing company.

This is not an entry-level position. Alternative finance/MCA experience is required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Uncapped commission
    • 20-30% New Business
    • 10% Renewals
  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 20 Days Paid Time Off
  • Sandler sales training and ongoing professional development
  • Direct mentorship from the VP of Sales and CEO
  • Modern Charlotte office near Bank of America Stadium
