Position Overview
As an Install Journeyman Electrician, you will complete residential electrical installations sold by our Service Department. You'll work closely with the Electrical Service Manager, apprentices, warehouse team, customer service, and dispatch to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the high standard our customers expect.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident working independently, can make sound decisions in the field, and understands that a successful installation is about more than the technical work. You'll also be responsible for creating a great customer experience, communicating clearly, maintaining a professional job site, and helping identify opportunities to better serve our customers.
You'll also play an important role in developing apprentices by sharing your knowledge, providing guidance, and helping ensure the next generation of electricians is set up for success.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Complete residential electrical installations sold by the Service Department
- Perform a variety of electrical installations, including electrical services, panels, lighting, emergency power backup, and other residential electrical systems
- Review project requirements and complete work safely, accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
- Maintain and build upon the relationship established with the customer throughout the installation process
- Educate customers on their new equipment, available options, proper operation, maintenance, and membership plans when appropriate
- Communicate professionally with customers and answer questions throughout the project
- Work closely with the Electrical Service Manager, apprentices, warehouse, customer service, and dispatch to ensure successful project completion
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site and company vehicle
- Accurately complete invoices, timecards, and required documentation using company software
- Train, mentor, and support apprentices in developing their technical skills and knowledge
- Participate actively in training, morning meetings, and other company events
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear company-provided uniforms
- Represent Reynolds in a way that builds customer trust, repeat business, and referrals

- Electrical installations are completed safely, accurately, and to code
- Projects are completed efficiently while meeting quality, timeline, and financial expectations
- Customers feel informed, respected, and confident throughout the installation process
- Job sites and company vehicles are clean, organized, and professional
- Communication with customers and internal teams is clear and proactive
- Documentation, invoices, and timecards are completed accurately and on time
- Apprentices receive meaningful training, mentorship, and support
- You take ownership of challenges and make sound decisions in the field
- You continuously look for ways to improve your skills, knowledge, and performance
- Your work helps generate repeat customers, referrals, and trust in the Reynolds name
What We're Looking For
- Active Oregon General Journeyman Electrician license
- Completion of an Oregon apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of local and state electrical codes and regulations
- Proven residential electrical installation experience
- Experience with electrical services, panels, lighting, emergency power backup, troubleshooting, and electrical diagrams
- Ability to work independently and make sound on-the-job decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Clean and safe driving record
- High integrity and professionalism
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to train, mentor, and work collaboratively with apprentices
- A desire to continue learning and become a better electrician every day
- A team-first mindset with the drive and accountability to perform at a high level
- Ability to work in a variety of job site conditions and weather conditions
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on field position that requires the ability to:
- Frequently bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Fully squat, stoop, and kneel while performing electrical work
- Wear and work with required tools and safety equipment, including a tool belt
- Climb and work from ladders
- Work from lifts, man lifts, or reach booms when required
- Work on uneven surfaces and in varying weather conditions
- Wear closed-toe work boots and other required personal protective equipment
- Work in environments that may include elevated noise levels
