Quality and Inventory Control Coordinator at Swiftwick
Swiftwick is a leading performance sock company founded in 2008. We design, engineer, and build technical socks for athletic performance, primarily serving the running and cycling communities with products engineered to endure.
We are looking for a collaborative and reliable Quality and Inventory Control Coordinator to help ensure our products consistently meet quality standards and our inventory remains accurate and well controlled. You will join our Operations team and report directly to the Supply Chain Specialist.
This is a hands-on role responsible for inspecting and testing products, documenting quality results, and identifying issues that may impact product performance or customer satisfaction. This position also plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory by ensuring timely receipt of products into our inventory system and performing weekly cycle counts. The accuracy of this work is essential to ensuring our system reflects our true inventory position and supports reliable purchasing, sales, and operational decisions.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
- Ensure all products meet company and applicable industry quality standards, reinforcing Swiftwick’s commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Perform routine quality inspections and inspect all new products using established QC checklists and procedures.
- Partner with the Operations team to plan and coordinate the receipt, movement, and fulfillment of incoming and outgoing product.
- Investigate quality issues with the Operations team and coordinate appropriate resolution and follow-up.
- Maintain quality-related SOPs in SharePoint and assist with training team members on quality procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve Swiftwick’s systems, processes, and quality controls.
- Partner with Supply Chain to coordinate the disposition of products identified in the QC log or held in the QC warehouse.
- Maintain visibility into incoming samples, inventory placed on hold, and products approaching closeout to support timely operational decisions.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to help ensure system inventory accurately reflects physical inventory.
- Assist with receiving inbound shipments from vendors, including verifying quantities and identifying potential quality or inventory discrepancies.
- Pick, pack, and ship direct-to-consumer and wholesale orders as needed.
- Restock picking locations to maintain efficient order fulfillment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Support other Operations activities and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work onsite in our warehouse located in Nashville, TN
- Previous experience in a retail backroom, warehouse, or fulfillment center preferred
- Previous experience in quality required
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and be committed to producing accurate and high-quality work
- Team player
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Take pride in your work and have personal accountability
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
