Journeyman Electrician at CVM Electric

FT: Journeyman Electrician, WNY.

The Role

The Journeyman Electrician is a mid-level field position for someone with solid hands-on experience and the

drive to keep growing. Youll work as part of a crew under the direction of a Foreman or Sub-Foreman on

commercial and industrial job sites across WNY, executing installations, reading blueprints, and contributing to

project quality and productivity every day. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their craft and is ready

to take on more overtime.

What Youll Do

Install conduit systems (EMT, rigid, PVC), MC cable, wire, panels, devices, and equipment per NEC and

project specifications

Pull and terminate wire and cable including THHN, MC cable, and low voltage as directed

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders with minimal supervision

Use hand tools, power tools, and conduit benders safely and correctly

Troubleshoot electrical issues in the field and communicate findings to the Foreman

Support apprentices on proper installation techniques and safety practices

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

What Were Looking For

23 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical field experience

Working knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, and test equipment

NY State Journeyman Electrician License preferred; active apprenticeship considered

OSHA 10 required within 90 days of hire; OSHA 30 a plus

Compensation:$26.00-$35.00 hourly (non-exempt)
