About the Role

We’re looking for a Community Intern to help grow and strengthen Wavytalk’s online community. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media, stays up to date on TikTok and Instagram trends, and knows how to create genuine conversations with an audience.

You’ll support our community across social platforms, creator channels, and our growing TYB community while helping bring new ideas and engaging experiences to life.

What You’ll Do

Community & Social

• Monitor and respond to daily comments and DMs across TikTok and Instagram
• Create 5–10 engaging, timely, and on-brand comments per day to participate in relevant conversations and trends
• Identify and quickly escalate customer concerns, viral moments, and other important community feedback
• Help manage and engage our TYB community of 12K+ members, including moderation and community engagement
• Engage with a network of 50+ creators and help maintain active, authentic conversations
• Brainstorm and support community prompts, challenges, and other engagement initiatives
• Create simple visual assets for community activities, including memes, prompts, and social graphics

Creator Gifting & Community Operations

• Assist with coordinating weekly creator gifting initiatives
• Help prepare and package PR mailings for creators and community members
• Support community events, local activations, and other brand initiatives
• Assist with monthly community programs designed to increase engagement and strengthen the Wavytalk community

What We’re Looking For

• Currently a sophomore or junior in college; NYC-based students preferred
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and current social media trends
• Genuine interest in internet culture, beauty, and social communities
• Strong instincts for brand voice, humor, and engaging content
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proactive, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently while collaborating with a broader team
• Bonus: Experience managing or contributing to a TikTok, meme page, Discord, online community, or other social platform

Internship Details

• Compensation: For-credit internship with a monthly NYC MetroCard benefit and daily stipend
• Hours: 20–40 hours per week
• Credit: Fall internship; school partnership and academic credit required
