City: Anaheim, CA
Contract type: Full time

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~18,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for a Glass Blower / Glass Shop Technician to join our production team and create precision glass components used in pH sensor manufacturing. Your hands-on glassworking expertise will help us deliver consistent, high-quality components in a specialized production environment.

What is the role about?

Do you have hands-on experience shaping glass with torches and heat? Can you consistently produce precise glass components while maintaining quality and dimensional accuracy? Are you comfortable working independently with delicate materials, specialized tools, and detailed production instructions? In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will work within the Glass Shop to prepare, form, blow, and inspect precision glass components that support pH sensor production, while partnering with the Glass Shop Lead, production colleagues, and quality stakeholders.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Perform manual and machine-assisted glass preparation, including cutting, crack-off, fire polishing, flaring, constricting, and forming operations.
  • Use gas torches safely to prepare, blow, shape, and process pH glass stems and related precision glass components.
  • Produce repeatable glass components with close attention to consistency, quality, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Read and follow work orders, drawings, routers, procedures, and work instructions to meet production requirements.
  • Use calipers, gauges, rulers, and other measuring tools to verify setups, dimensions, and finished-part quality.
  • Inspect glass parts for cracks, chips, surface flaws, deformation, dimensional variation, and other quality concerns.
  • Set up and operate Glass Shop tools and machines, support basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, and communicate equipment or process concerns.
  • Complete production documentation and SAP transactions accurately while supporting schedule priorities and timely work-order completion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area while following PPE, ISO, quality, and documentation requirements.

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Have demonstrated hands-on experience in glass blowing, flame-working, lampworking, scientific glass, laboratory glass, or similar glass fabrication.
  • Can safely work with torches, heat, glass tubing, and delicate glass components while producing consistent, repeatable results.
  • Can read and understand work instructions, drawings, and production documentation and use basic measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, gauges, and scales.
  • Bring strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, patience, and close attention to detail for precision glass work.
  • Can identify visible glass defects, including cracks, chips, surface flaws, deformation, and dimensional variation.
  • Can work independently after basic orientation and process-specific training and are willing to work overtime as production needs require.
  • Ideally have experience in precision-glass manufacturing, pH or sensor components, glass cutting and forming techniques, SAP transactions, or continuous-improvement and 5S/6S activities.

What can you expect from us?

  • Family-owned, highly committed global company with a sustainable vision of the future.
  • Lifelong learning encouraged by versatile training, tuition reimbursement, success coaching, and further education opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a 401(k) savings plan with company match.
  • Competitive compensation with bonus opportunities.
  • Work-life balance supported through 10 company-paid holidays, paid time off, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs, and employee discounts.
  • A safety-first, climate-controlled, clean manufacturing facility that uses Lean practices and ergonomic workstations to enhance productivity and comfort.

The listed range for this position is $27-$35 per hour but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation for this position would include other elements which include an annual nondiscretionary bonus.
