Line Operator – Manufacturing
Position Summary The Line Operator is responsible for performing production and packaging activities on a manufacturing line. This position works as part of a team to ensure products are properly assembled, capped, labeled, packaged, and inspected while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and support production and packaging lines.
- Place and secure caps, lids, pumps, or other closures onto products.
- Apply labels and verify they are positioned correctly.
- Load bottles, containers, or other materials onto the production line.
- Inspect finished products for defects, damaged packaging, incorrect labels, or improper caps.
- Pack finished products into boxes, cases, or other packaging.
- Perform basic quality checks throughout the production process.
- Keep the production line supplied with packaging materials.
- Monitor the line and report equipment or production issues to the Line Lead or Supervisor.
- Follow production instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
- Complete basic production documentation as required.
- Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and setup between production runs.
- Work with other operators and team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or packaging experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify product or packaging defects.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for most of the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
Preferred Experience Experience with production lines, packaging, labeling, capping, bottling, assembly, inspection, or similar manufacturing operations is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.90 per hour
