Marketing at Best Home Health Providers, Inc.
The Marketing/Community Relations Director leads the organization’s marketing and sales activities. The position manages the marketing/sales team, develops relationships with referral and payer sources, addresses customer needs, negotiates service contracts, and supports organizational growth while ensuring marketing activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily marketing operations and implement marketing and sales initiatives.
- Develop marketing plans and promotional strategies to meet budgeted volume goals.
- Recruit, orient, supervise, and manage the marketing/sales team.
- Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources, customers, community partners, and payers.
- Negotiate contracts and service pricing with managed care organizations, government agencies, insurance Case Managers, and other payers.
- Ensure marketing staff comply with requirements concerning anti-kickback rules, lawful gifts and services, patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.
- Partner with the Executive Director/Administrator on annual volume projections, marketing budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct ongoing market assessments and maintain knowledge of payer groups, referral sources, government agencies, competitors, and community resources.
- Strengthen perceptions of Best Home Health Providers Inc as a high-quality service provider.
- Participate in strategic planning and identify opportunities for new or improved services based on customer needs.
- Monitor and report the cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Requirements
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of healthcare marketing management experience, preferably involving home care operations; at least one year of sales experience is preferred.
Successful candidates should demonstrate supervisory ability, business-management knowledge, strong communication, negotiation, and public-relations skills, and the ability to market assertively while interacting tactfully with customers and the community. The role also requires autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation.
