Sales Developement Representative at INTX Insurance Software
About INTX
INTX Insurance Software is delivering the (Re)Insurance Operating System for modern insurance organizations.
Our platform connects core insurance operations with ceded and assumed reinsurance, bringing policy administration, billing, claims, financial operations, reporting, and intelligence into one connected environment.
We work with insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, fronting carriers, and captives that are modernizing complex operations and replacing fragmented legacy technology.
INTX is growing, and we are expanding our commercial team in Austin. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative who can help us build relationships with the companies and executives shaping the future of insurance.
The Role
This is an enterprise sales development role focused on quality, relevance, and creating real opportunities.
You will work closely with Sales and Marketing to identify the right accounts, understand their businesses, find the right people, and create reasons for them to engage with INTX.
Our buyers are senior insurance and technology executives. Our sales cycles are complex. The strongest person for this role will be curious enough to understand a prospect before contacting them and confident enough to have a credible conversation once they do.
You do not need to come to INTX as an insurance expert. You should want to become one.
What You'll Do
- Research and develop named accounts across the insurance and reinsurance market.
- Build targeted outbound strategies using phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and other channels.
- Identify senior decision-makers, influencers, champions, and other stakeholders within target organizations.
- Develop relevant outreach based on each prospect's business, priorities, technology environment, and potential challenges.
- Generate and qualify opportunities for the INTX sales team.
- Engage executives across underwriting, reinsurance, operations, finance, technology, and corporate leadership.
- Work directly with sales leadership on account strategy, stakeholder mapping, messaging, and next steps.
- Identify market signals that may create an opportunity for INTX, including technology evaluations, transformation initiatives, leadership changes, new programs, acquisitions, and business expansion.
- Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns, account-based initiatives, and coordinated market outreach.
- Support industry conferences by helping secure meetings in advance, engaging prospects on-site, and driving disciplined follow-up.
- Maintain accurate account, activity, qualification, and pipeline information in HubSpot.
- Provide strong opportunity handoffs with clear business context, stakeholder intelligence, qualification findings, and next steps.
- Contribute to selected RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and strategic sales pursuits when additional commercial support is needed.
- Use prospect feedback, market intelligence, and performance data to continuously improve targeting, messaging, and outreach.
Why INTX
INTX is at a stage where individual contribution matters.
You will work directly with sales leadership and have regular exposure to leaders across Marketing, Product, Technology, and the executive team. You will see how enterprise opportunities develop from initial research and outreach through executive meetings, demonstrations, competitive evaluations, and buying decisions.
You will also be selling a platform with a differentiated position in the market. INTX brings core insurance operations and reinsurance together within one operating environment, creating a fundamentally different approach to how insurance organizations manage their businesses.
For someone looking to build a career in enterprise technology sales, this role provides a strong foundation and a potential path into enterprise sales as INTX's commercial organization grows.
You will have the opportunity to learn a complex industry, work directly with experienced leaders, engage sophisticated enterprise buyers, and have a visible impact on the company's growth.
Location
This position is based in Austin, Texas.
Candidates should live in the Austin area or be willing to relocate and should be comfortable working regularly from the INTX office.
Some travel is expected for customer meetings, company activities, and industry conferences, typically less than 20%.
Equal Employment Opportunity
INTX is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
INTX provides reasonable accommodations throughout the recruiting process for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercially ambitious, highly organized, curious, and comfortable taking ownership.
You should have:
- 2+ years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or a similar B2B technology role.
- A track record of creating qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- Strong account research and prospecting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- The confidence and professionalism to communicate with senior executives.
- The ability to learn complex technology and translate it into clear business value.
- Strong follow-through, organization, and attention to detail.
- Experience working with HubSpot, Salesforce, or another CRM.
- The resilience to work through rejection, adjust your approach, and keep moving.
- A genuine desire to build a career in enterprise technology sales.
Experience in insurance, reinsurance, InsurTech, financial services, enterprise SaaS, account-based selling, or complex sales environments is helpful, but it is not required.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is not measured by how many emails you send.
It is measured by your ability to create the right conversations.
You will be expected to:
- Build consistent engagement within INTX's priority accounts.
- Generate qualified opportunities that fit our target market.
- Create meetings with the right stakeholders for the right reasons.
- Develop account intelligence that improves the quality of each sales conversation.
- Build relationships across multiple stakeholders within target accounts.
- Deliver well-qualified opportunities to the sales team with clear context and next steps.
- Convert conferences and other market activity into meaningful follow-up and pipeline.
- Maintain disciplined CRM and pipeline management.
- Continuously improve your outreach based on what is working in the market.
As you build experience, you should become increasingly confident discussing the insurance market, INTX's platform, and the business challenges our customers are trying to solve.
Benefits
INTX offers a comprehensive benefits program for eligible employees and their qualified dependents, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off (PTO).
