MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE

Maintenance repairs and maintains machinery and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment
• Install new machinery and equipment
• Maintain repair logs and preventative maintenance records
• Assess machines regularly to identify damage and schedule needed repairs
• Train machine operators in correct lock-out/tag-out and equipment safety procedures
• Travel when needed to other branches, ensuring safe and proper running of equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment per the system-generated schedule
• Attend off-site training on new equipment as needed
• Maintain property and grounds
• Review and respond to operator repair requests

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and safe equipment operating practices
• Possess basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to keep records
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to use and read precision measuring instruments and electrical meters
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work high above ground if necessary
• Welding skills
• Ability to operate an automobile and the possession of a valid driver’s license
• Ability to respond to calls after hours and travel
• High school diploma and/or equivalent experience

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

• Steel-toe safety shoes
• Safety glasses
• Gloves when handling steel
• Hard Hat
• Electrical safety PPE
• Fall protection equipment

OTHER RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work shifts and overtime as necessary
• Ability to pass drug test
