As Manager of our retail location, you’ll lead a small team to deliver exceptional service, protect compliance, and grow store performance. You’ll own day-to-day operations including staffing and coaching, inventory and cash accountability, compliance with state and local regulations, merchandising, customer engagement, and community outreach. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, values teamwork, and wants to shape a trusted local dispensary culture.

Salary

$80 - $85 USD per year

Required Skills

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 3+ years of retail management experience with demonstrated leadership, scheduling, and coaching capabilities.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build loyalty through product education and consultative sales.
• Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and daily cash reconciliation procedures.
• Proven ability to manage inventory, perform cycle counts, and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for cannabis retail or ability to quickly learn and adhere to state/local rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to de-escalate customer or employee situations professionally.
• Experience creating schedules, managing labor costs, and contributing to store-level P&L goals.
• Ability to pass required background checks and maintain any necessary licensing or site-specific credentials.
• Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Desired Skills

• Prior experience in cannabis retail or other heavily regulated retail environments (alcohol, pharmaceuticals) is a plus.
• Familiarity with seed-to-sale systems (e.g., METRC) and common dispensary POS platforms.
• Experience with merchandising, product launches, and local marketing or community outreach initiatives.
• Basic financial literacy for forecasting, inventory valuation, and simple P&L review.
• Training/coaching certification or demonstrable success in staff development and performance management.
• Bilingual skills to better serve a diverse neighborhood.
• First aid/CPR certification and a commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive workplace.
