About the Role: Major Maintenance Engineer

As our Major Maintenance Engineer, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Technical / Role-Specific Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain building equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and ability to identify potential equipment or facility issues before they become major problems.
• Experience with building automation systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, generators, and other major mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical specifications, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Working knowledge of safety standards, building codes, OSHA requirements, and proper maintenance procedures.
• Relevant technical certifications, licenses, or trade qualifications preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, or other specialized trade certifications are a plus.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to respond effectively to equipment failures and facility emergencies.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining accurate service and maintenance records.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with other Engineering and hotel departments.
• Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls, as required.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance duties, including lifting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members.

Education (Optional / Adjustable)

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
