Compensation: $150,000–$225,000 base salary + equity

Travel: Regular travel to customer sites required

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Deployment Strategist to join their fast-growing technology company building AI-powered software for complex manufacturing and procurement environments.

In this role, you will work directly with customers across industries such as aerospace, defense, space, energy, and robotics to implement and operationalize a sophisticated procurement platform. You will own customer deployments from signed contract through go-live and beyond, working across procurement, engineering, finance, and IT teams.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing role at the intersection of implementation, data, systems integration, and business operations. You will learn how each customer's organization operates, map data from systems such as ERP, PLM, and MES platforms, configure workflows, troubleshoot integration issues, and help customers successfully adopt the platform.

What You'll Do

• Own customer deployments from kickoff through discovery, data mapping and migration, configuration, go-live, and ongoing adoption.
• Partner with procurement, engineering, finance, and IT stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into scalable system workflows.
• Map and validate data flows between the platform and ERP, PLM, and MES systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Epicor, Arena, Teamcenter, and similar platforms.
• Write SQL and GraphQL queries to validate migrations, investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and support customer analytics.
• Configure workflows for approval chains, RFQs, supplier onboarding, purchasing, and other procurement processes.
• Diagnose integration and synchronization issues, working closely with engineering teams to resolve technical blockers.
• Serve as an ongoing technical partner to customers, tracking adoption, identifying risks, and helping drive successful outcomes.
• Translate recurring customer challenges and requirements into actionable feedback for product and engineering teams.
• Help develop implementation templates, data-mapping guides, onboarding runbooks, success metrics, and other deployment best practices.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience owning customer implementations, deployments, technical programs, or operational outcomes.
• Strong analytical and quantitative foundation, ideally within engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, data science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems and determine the highest-priority issues.
• Strong technical fluency, including comfort writing SQL, reading API documentation, testing APIs in tools such as Postman, and troubleshooting data or integration issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical documentation.
• Experience independently managing customer relationships and complex implementations.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing procurement processes such as MRP, sourcing, supplier quality, receiving, or three-way matching.
• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, maintaining, or integrating ERP, PLM, or MES systems.
• Experience working with platforms such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Epicor, Arena, Teamcenter, or similar systems.
• Coding experience, particularly with TypeScript, GraphQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience within aerospace, defense, space, energy, robotics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Previous experience within consulting, systems implementation, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical environment.

Additional Requirements

This position works with ITAR-controlled and CUI data. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise qualify as a “U.S. person” under applicable ITAR regulations.
