Safety Manager (Trucking) at The Workforce Project LLC.

What You'll Own:

Full FMCSA/DOT compliance, including HOS, ELD, driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing, and vehicle maintenance records

CSA BASIC scores: monitoring them, setting improvement targets, and meeting those targets

Accident and incident response, investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action

Driver coaching, in-cab and classroom training, and onboarding safety standards

Working with our insurance carriers on loss control, claims management, and bringing premiums down

Readiness for DOT compliance reviews and audits

Working with dispatch, driver recruiting, and maintenance to enforce standards without slowing the operation

Building and leading the safety and compliance team

Requirements

What We're Looking For

5+ years of safety leadership at a trucking company

A track record of measurable CSA improvement and reduced accident frequency

Direct experience managing a DOT compliance review or audit

Deep working knowledge of the FMCSRs

Credibility with drivers. A former CDL driver is a strong plus.

Intermodal or drayage experience preferred

TruckMate or similar TMS experience, plus telematics and camera platforms (Samsara, Lytx, Netradyne) a plus
