Family Law Paralegal at Protouch Staffing

Our client is seeking skilled and experienced

Family Law Paralegals who are ready to grow with the team - not just work for the firm. The ideal candidate will have at least

2-3 years of family law experience and will utilize their organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, draft and file pleadings, interview clients, and conduct research.

This position is crucial for supporting several Certified Family Law Specialists (CFLS), senior, mid-level, and junior-level attorneys in a rewarding work environment that emphasizes excellence and client care.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
• At least 2 years of solid family law experience
• Skilled communicator and writer with strong legal writing and correspondence abilities
• Excellent organizational and case management skills
• Background check upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents and pleadings such as RFOs, FOAHs, Motions, and Briefs
• Draft professional correspondence to parties, counsel, and experts
• Propound and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, subpoenas, and deposition notices
• Ability to delegate tasks to legal assistants
• Prepare attorneys for trial and other hearings
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Hold client interviews to gather information about their case needs and goals
• Manage a caseload with minimal supervision
• Keep clear case notes and prepare for case meetings
• Understand court procedures, rules of court, and the Family Code
• Actively communicate with clients and co-workers
• Have an all-around knowledge of court procedures across all Southern California counties, or demonstrate the resourcefulness to process matters in all courts as needed

• Salary: $52,000 - $72,800 + bonus incentives
