About Kayne Energy Private Equity

Kayne’s dedicated energy private equity team has been investing in energy private equity since 1998 and manages approximately $7 billion of energy-focused capital across multiple funds and strategies. Kayne held the final close for its latest energy private equity fund, KPEIF III, in Q2 2025, successfully securing $2.25 billion of Limited Partner commitments (largest fundraise since inception). KPEIF III is Kayne’s third flagship fund since launching the private energy income strategy a decade ago (eleventh energy-focused flagship private equity fund).

Position Overview

Kayne Anderson is seeking to hire an Associate to join its Energy Private Equity group starting in Q3 2027. This is a unique opportunity for an Associate to join a lean investment team largely focused on North American Oil & Gas investments.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions

The Associate’s responsibilities will include evaluating new investment opportunities, monitoring the fund’s existing portfolio, drafting Limited Partner correspondence, and managing other internal processes. This is an in-person role based in our Houston, TX office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Kayne is targeting energy-focused 2nd/3rd year investment banking analysts with relevant E&P experience
