Internal Account Manager (INS852) at Hire Overseas

Date: 1 hour ago
City: Chicago, IL
Contract type: Full time
Remote

We're looking for an Internal Account Manager to own client relationships at Hire Overseas, a fast-moving offshore staffing and HR platform placing vetted global talent into U.S. companies. You will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, keeping placements on track, resolving issues before they escalate, and ensuring clients stay engaged and satisfied long after the initial hire.

This is a small business. There is no large team behind you and no playbook for every situation. You will have a high degree of ownership and autonomy, which means you make real decisions, handle real problems, and have a direct impact on whether clients stay and grow. If you are a confident communicator who takes ownership instinctively, moves fast when something needs attention, and wants a role where your judgment actually matters, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • This role requires availability during US business hours
  • Work directly with founders at a growing offshore staffing company with real traction and a strong client base
  • High-ownership role with full autonomy over how you manage and grow your client portfolio

What You'll Work On

Client Relationship Management

  • Own a portfolio of client accounts as the primary point of contact from placement through ongoing engagement
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships that make clients feel supported and well-served
  • Conduct regular check-ins and proactively surface any issues, risks, or opportunities before they become problems
  • Keep clients informed, engaged, and confident in their placements without waiting for them to reach out first

Issue Resolution and Escalation

  • Handle client concerns quickly and professionally, taking ownership of resolution rather than routing everything to someone else
  • Identify patterns in client feedback and flag systemic issues to leadership with recommended fixes
  • Coordinate internally across recruiting, operations, and leadership to resolve complex client situations
  • Make judgment calls on when to escalate and when to handle directly

Retention and Growth

  • Drive client retention by delivering a consistently high-quality account management experience
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships including additional placements, new roles, or expanded scope
  • Track account health and flag at-risk clients early with a clear plan of action

Reporting and Communication

  • Maintain accurate and current records of all client interactions, account status, and open items
  • Provide regular internal updates on portfolio health, client sentiment, and key risks
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and on calls across all client and internal interactions

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in account management, client success, or a similar client-facing role in a B2B environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with a professional and responsive style
  • High ownership mindset — you take responsibility for outcomes rather than passing problems up or sideways
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy in a small business environment where processes are still being built and the answers are not always obvious
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously without losing track of anything
  • Proactive and fast-moving with a bias toward action over deliberation when clients need support

Nice to Have

  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, HR services, or workforce management
  • Background working at a small business, startup, or founder-led company
  • Familiarity with offshore or global hiring and the dynamics of remote contractor placements
  • Experience with CRM tools for tracking client interactions and account health

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your account management or client success experience, and walking through how you handle a situation where a client is unhappy and you have to resolve it without escalating to leadership

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you want full ownership over a client portfolio at a fast-moving company where your decisions actually matter and your impact is directly visible, this role gives you the autonomy and the scope to do your best work.
