The Partner Success Associate is a revenue-focused role focused on optimizing GOVX partners to create the best partner and customer experience. This role reports directly to a Partner Manager and is a key player in a Pod that supports specific product categories on GOVX. You will support multiple revenue streams and work with partners to optimize their assortments including but not limited to product selection, price, contract and marketing. This role works cross functionally on every part of a GOVX partner and allows the employee to quickly understand our partners and the GOVX business.

Roles and Responsibilities

Partner Success Responsibilities

You own the success 500+ emerging Sellers are identified in each category that cannot be managed with individual touchpoints and must be optimized with scale. Below are some examples of how success will be measured:

  • % of emerging Sellers with catalogs updated quarterly.
  • Growth of margin and orders from emerging Sellers.
  • Emerging Sellers participating in marketing through extending deeper member value.
  • Answer inbound partner inquiries to our CRM and troubleshoot partner technical and logistics issues that prevent successful performance on GOVX.
  • Review data monthly and find opportunities to negotiate better margin for GOVX with more material emerging partners.
  • Review merchandising of partners on site to ensure GOVX members can find products from our emerging Sellers.
  • Find opportunities within partners leveraging our GOVX ID Shopify app to increase GOVX visibility across Shopify partners with better placements of GOVX ID verification in cart and on seller websites.
  • Leverage reporting to bring pricing strategy updates to partner managers to improve order and margin growth across the emerging Sellers you manage.
  • Proactively negotiate improved wholesale costs, promotional funding, and discount terms with existing partners in alignment with the Manager, Seller Partnerships’ financial goals.
  • Negotiate the optimal payment method and terms to maximize margin for GOVX across different Revenue streams.
  • Develop regular email communications to key partner groups that ensure customers here from GOVX regularly and understand optimization tactics in a scalable way.
  • Track all margin opportunities for your emerging Sellers in the CRM.
  • Monitor partner accounts for upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities.
  • Develop a clear understanding of partner needs, strategies, and business goals, and manage regular communication of margin and revenue impact to your Manager, Seller Partnerships.
  • Liaise customers and vendors for productive outcomes and retain long-term partner relationships.
  • Work with partners to ensure GOVX services are being maximized and optimized to maximize revenue and GOVX impact on partner business.

Help drive scale through larger partners managed by our partner management team by managing specific recurring processes that help drive the business:

  • Work with GOVX ID partners to solicit reviews within the GOVX ID app to increase GOVX presence in the app store.
  • While your Partner Manager will own the marketing, pricing strategy and relationship with new partners, there are many aspects of onboarding that require cross-functional project management to ensure the partners success. You are the project manager for the onboarding flow in your category, partnering with internal owners to ensure partners onboard effectively in the shortest period possible with a great first impression of a GOVX partnership:
    • Partnering with contract management to ensure all documents are in place to support clear operations, billing and revenue recognition.
    • Supporting Partner Managers on all product data necessary to set the pricing and margin strategy.
    • Gather updated assortments for all new product launches in a timely manner so that GOVX can have access to products at launch.
    • Gathering creative assets to ensure the best reflection of the partner on GOVX respecting all Seller guidelines while gathering assets that make the Seller enticing to the GOVX audience on site.
    • Report back to the business on estimated launch timing and current stage in onboarding process.
    • Work with the integration and customer success team to make sure the Seller has the right infostructure in place to be successful at launch.
    • Effectively and quickly resolve ad hoc partner issues, requests, and questions throughout the onboarding process.
  • QA all Member Marketing for URL and pricing accuracy to ensure that the Sellers in your category are reflected accurately across our communication channels.
      • Gather all assets from the partner and make sure the assets support the marketing strategy that was defined with your Partner Manager.
      • Supply the assets to the member marketing team to be shared with creative.
      • Gather approvals from the partner once creative has finalized individual assets.
      • Manage the revision process of ads and save approval of assets.
      • Report on marketing monthly so that partners see placement confirmation prior to receiving invoices for their Marketing Services.
        • Collaborate with catalog operations to secure and execute product and content placements on key landing pages, category pages, and promotional themes.
        • Recommend and implement optimization actions — assortment expansion, pricing adjustments, marketing investment — based on performance data.
        • Review top product collections within your category and work with Manager, Seller Partnerships to optimize with marketing placements, filters and other onsite tools to drive conversion.
        • Review the top category search terms and identify opportunities to maximize results and drive sales.
        • Inspect collection pages, product information, and other website-related systems to ensure their visual appeal, accuracy, and ease of use.
          • Communicate with partners via phone, video call, and email to provide optimization tips and follow through to ensure recommendations are implemented.
          • Track all partner-facing communication in CRM and maintain updated partner contacts and details.
            • Establish and monitor KPIs for key attributes such as orders, revenue, margin, traffic (audience) and conversions, and use ecommerce data to gain operational insights.
            • Review key metrics like order volume, margin and conversion monthly to highlight anomalies that may mean opportunities or operational and tracking challenges that are harming partner results.
            • Pull and synthesize weekly and monthly performance reporting for your assigned category — orders, revenue, margin, conversion, and traffic.
            • Surface data-driven insights to the Manager, Seller Partnerships to support faster and better decisions for the category.
            • Identify underperforming partners or product areas and recommend specific actions to improve results.
            • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to flag opportunities or risks within your category.
            • Support the Manager in preparing quarterly business recaps and forecasts for Senior Management.
            • Regularly review inventory availability and products from your category to ensure the customer has access to the broadest assortment.

          Requirements

          • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
          • 2+ Years’ experience in an office environment performing project-based work.
          • 1+ Year’s experience in ecommerce or retail.
          • Strong attention to detail and ability switch between projects without sacrificing quality.
          • Commercially minded — focused on revenue and margin, not just task completion.
          • Strong analytical skills; comfortable pulling reports, building pricing models, and translating data into action.
          • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident communicating with partners via phone, video, and email.
          • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
          • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
          • Experience with affiliate platforms or ecommerce marketplace operations is a plus.
          • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
          • Passionate and mission driven.

          Work Environment

          This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

          Work Location

          This is a hybrid position that combines working onsite at the GOVX corporate office in San Diego, CA and working remotely from home. You will be required to report to the office a minimum of three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and work a full eight-hour shift each day from the office. No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.

          $33.17 - $34.62/hr
