Admissions Coordinator at Release Recovery
Release is seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordinator to join our admissions team. This role is a critical component of our care model, serving as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective clients, families, and referral partners. The Admissions Coordinator guides individuals through the admissions process, coordinates with clinical teams to support appropriate placement, and helps ensure a smooth transition into care.

Position Summary
The Admissions Coordinator supports screenings, client and family communication, documentation, and coordination with program teams. This role works closely with Admissions Managers to gather information, maintain accurate KIPU records, and prepare client charts for admission.
Essential Functions
Screening & Admissions Support
- Assist with client screenings and gather required intake information.
- Review clinical records and summarize relevant information for the admissions team.
- Follow up on missing documents and outstanding items.
- Refer clinical, financial, and admission approval questions to the appropriate team member.
Documentation & Chart Preparation
- Enter and verify demographics, insurance information, contacts, documented allergies, and other required details in KIPU.
- Upload clinical records and maintain current case notes.
- Prepare and transfer charts into KIPU for clinical and residential teams.
- Confirm required documentation and approvals are in place before the admissions handoff.
Client & Family Communication
- Share program information, next steps, and arrival instructions.
- Send welcome materials and connect families with the appropriate program contacts.
- Assist Admissions Managers with scheduling and logistical follow-up.
Team Coordination
- Communicate case updates, missing information, and changes in admission timing.
- Prepare admissions summaries for receiving teams.
- Participate in admissions meetings and complete assigned follow-up tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in admissions, healthcare administration, behavioral health, or customer service preferred.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with electronic records or CRM systems; KIPU experience preferred.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- On-call availability on a rotating basis for active admissions.
- Travel to various company locations or events as required.
