About The Opportunity

Our client is a boutique law firm focused on sophisticated real estate and business litigation matters throughout the Bay Area and across California. The firm combines the personalized service and attention of a boutique practice with the sophisticated legal expertise, technology, and trial experience typically associated with larger firms.

This is an opportunity for an experienced California litigator who wants meaningful involvement in cases rather than an administrative-heavy environment. Attorneys are given the opportunity to take an active role in litigation, work directly on complex disputes, and develop their courtroom and advocacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage appropriately sized litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies and provide strong oral advocacy.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in other discovery proceedings.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Analyze complex real estate and business disputes and develop practical litigation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff on sophisticated, high-stakes matters.
• Manage case deadlines, discovery, and other litigation responsibilities efficiently.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license and eligibility to practice in California.
• At least 3 years of California litigation experience.
• Experience handling litigation matters from inception through trial preferred.
• Deposition experience and training.
• Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases and competing priorities.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in sophisticated real estate and business litigation.
