Project Manager - Real Estate Finance & Fund Operations at AlphaX

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience delivering finance, real estate, and fund-management initiatives, with ownership of lending operations, reporting, compliance, and investor-related workstreams. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client specializing in real estate financing and investment fund management. This role will drive cross-functional initiatives from kickoff through implementation, overseeing scope, budgets, vendors, risk tracking, and executive reporting while ensuring deadlines and operational requirements are met. The ideal candidate combines strong project delivery skills with experience navigating regulated financial environments and improving business processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance, real estate lending, and fund-management initiatives from project kickoff through implementation and launch.
• Define project scope, deliverables, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Track project schedules, dependencies, vendor deliverables, and outstanding requirements to maintain execution timelines.
• Maintain risk logs, identify potential compliance or delivery issues, and drive mitigation plans through resolution.
• Partner with lending, finance, compliance, reporting, and investor operations teams to execute cross-functional initiatives.
• Oversee project documentation, reporting processes, and operational deliverables to support accuracy and accountability.
• Prepare executive updates covering project progress, budget performance, risks, decisions, and delivery milestones.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements that strengthen operational efficiency, reporting consistency, and project controls.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience managing projects across finance, real estate, financial services, or fund-management initiatives.
• Demonstrated ownership of projects involving lending operations, financial reporting, compliance, or investor operations.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budgets, vendors, risk logs, and executive communications from kickoff through launch.
• Experience delivering projects in regulated financial services or compliance-sensitive environments.
• Strong understanding of project governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and cross-functional execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, project tracking tools, and reporting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Must demonstrate direct ownership of complex projects and measurable delivery outcomes; candidates with only administrative or project coordination experience will not be a fit.
