About the Opportunity

Honda Racing Corporation USA is hiring an Entry Level Contingent Engineer 1 1 in Santa Clarita, CA. You will join our world-class racing engineering team, supporting powertrain test cell operations, data reduction, and prototype development for elite racing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Engine Dyno Testing Support: Assist in setting up and operating engine dynamometer test cells for high-performance racing powertrains.
• Data Analysis: Perform preliminary post-test telemetry and sensor data processing to assess engine performance, pressures, and temperatures.
• Component Inspection: Assist senior engineers with post-run engine teardown inspections, measurement verification, and defect documentation.
• Engineering Documentation: Maintain accurate test logs, calibration records, and standard operating procedures for test laboratory equipment.
• CAD & Prototyping: Update 3D CAD models and create mechanical drawings for engine test bench fixtures and sensors.

Candidate Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience: 0-2 years of engineering experience (Formula SAE/Baja SAE or relevant automotive internships strongly valued).
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines, dynamometers, data acquisition tools, and CAD (SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA).
• Skills: Passion for motorsports, strong analytical drive, attention to precision detail, and team spirit.
