About POPUPFLORIST & HOUSE OF THREE

POPUPFLORIST is a leading experiential floral design and event production company known for creating unforgettable moments for some of the world's most admired brands in fashion, beauty, entertainment, and lifestyle. Founded in 2016 and based in New York City, our work spans high-impact brand installations and activations, influencer gifting, pop-ups, and creative workshops.

In 2025, we launched HOUSE OF THREE, our creative event space in New York's NoMad neighborhood. It serves as a home for both POPUPFLORIST workshops and a variety of brand-hosted experiences.

The Role

We're hiring a Senior Events Manager to run day-to-day operations for our events, from POPUPFLORIST installations, activations, and workshops (the majority of our work) to events hosted at HOUSE OF THREE. You'll report to our Founder, manage our Events Coordinator, and take every event from booking through breakdown: on time, on budget, and to standard.

This is an operations and execution role that requires a strong creative eye. Our Founder sets the creative direction, and your job is to bring it to life flawlessly. You're exceptionally organized, proactive, and calm under pressure, and you enjoy keeping many moving pieces under control. Our clients are some of the world's top brands, so you'll need the taste to know what great looks like and to notice when a detail isn't right.

As you'd expect in events, this isn't a typical 9-to-5. Expect some early mornings, plus evenings and weekends from time to time, especially around our peak seasons like NYFW, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

Event Operations

  • Manage multiple events at once, from booking through breakdown.
  • Own production calendars, timelines, and run-of-show documents, with the Coordinator keeping them current in Airtable and other ops platforms, e.g., Google Workspace.
  • Handle logistics: deliveries, load-in and load-out, venue requirements, COIs, and permits.
  • Coordinate floral and hard-goods ordering with the Founder.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors and rentals.
  • Run event operations at HOUSE OF THREE, including readiness, vendor access, walk-throughs, and upkeep of the space, with the Coordinator handling turnovers and day-of tasks.
  • Make sure client inquiries get timely, consistent responses.
  • Build and track event budgets, and support proposals with accurate production scoping.
  • Review client invoices against final scope and change orders before they go out.

On-Site & Team

  • Manage our Events Coordinator, setting priorities and providing day-to-day direction.
  • Own the daily freelance schedule across all events, with the Coordinator handling booking and confirmations. Most days run several projects at once, so you'll keep the full picture in view and put crews, time, and resources where they're needed most.
  • Serve as on-site lead for each day's highest-priority events, direct staff, freelancers, crews, and vendors through setup, execution, and breakdown, and decide where the Coordinator can lead independently.
  • Run readiness checks, catch anything that isn't up to our standard before the client sees it, and solve problems in real time within the Founder's creative direction.
  • Over time, keep events running smoothly on your own when the Founder is away

Clients

  • Own client relationships once an event is booked, alongside the Founder: scope, timelines, logistics, and changes. The Coordinator handles day-to-day client communication and paperwork.
  • Communicate timelines, logistics, and changes clearly and confidently, so clients always know where things stand.
  • Anticipate client needs and deliver a level of service that matches the brands we work with.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years in event production, experiential, or floral production, including supervising staff or freelance crews across multiple projects at once.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through, and comfort with Google Workspace and project management tools (Airtable a plus).
  • A strong creative eye and real taste for design and detail.
  • Experience in floral or floral event production strongly preferred; backgrounds in luxury/lifestyle events, set design, prop styling, or visual merchandising will also be considered.
  • Calm, clear communication with clients, vendors, and crews.
  • Flexibility for some early mornings and some evenings/weekends every now and then; plus hands-on setup and breakdown in NYC.

Benefits

  • $80,000–$90,000 base salary, depending on experience.
  • Eligible for discretionary bonuses at year-end and after peak seasons, based on company and individual performance
  • 15 days of paid time off, plus additional paid days off after peak seasons and intensive projects
  • Health insurance
