About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Customer Service Representative in Oxnard, CA. Serving as our showroom front-line ambassador, you will greet guests, process retail sales orders, assist with customer financing, handle office administration, and ensure exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities (Front Desk & Customer Relations)

• Welcome showroom guests with warmth, professionalism, and hospitality, reflecting Ashley's brand values.
• Deliver exceptional customer service across all interactions, including in-person, telephone, and email inquiries.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly, escalating complex situations to store management.
• Partner cooperatively with sales consultants and warehouse teams to provide seamless guest shopping experiences.

Key Responsibilities (Sales Order Processing & Office Operations):

• Process customer sales orders accurately, verify paperwork completeness, and secure appropriate financing approvals.
• Guide customers through credit applications, financing agreements, and account updates in retail systems.
• Execute cash handling procedures, process customer payments, and balance daily cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain organized office records, prepare routine sales reports, and support inventory compliance audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of customer service, office, or administrative experience preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; minimum 18 years of age.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning retail POS and financing software platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Flexibility to work retail hours including rotating weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts.
