Welder - Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel Fabrication at Professional Piping Systems

We are seeking skilled and dependable Welders to join our mechanical fabrication shop. This position involves welding carbon steel and/or stainless steel components used in industrial and mechanical construction projects.

• Perform welding on carbon steel and/or stainless steel components according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and measurements as required.
• Prepare materials and joints for welding, including cleaning, fitting, and positioning components.
• Use appropriate welding processes and equipment to produce sound, consistent welds.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and correct weld defects as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
• Follow shop safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work with fabricators, fitters, and other shop personnel to meet production schedules.
• Maintain consistent workmanship and productivity while meeting quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous welding experience with carbon steel and/or stainless steel preferred.
• Ability to produce quality welds that meet applicable project requirements.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols preferred.
• Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and material preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a fabrication shop.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.
