Traffic/Shipping Coordinator at Ichor Systems

This includes coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting goods for damages or defects, accurately recording inventory levels, and ensuring that all shipping and receiving processes are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures, and serves as a back-up driver.

Job Description:

IMG, an Ichor Company in Livermore, CA is looking for a Traffic/Shipping Coordinator responsible for the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies for the company. This includes coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting goods for damages or defects, accurately recording inventory levels, and ensuring that all shipping and receiving processes are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures, and serves as a back-up driver.

Position Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and vendors.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and damages.
• Verify quantities and quality of received items against purchase orders.
• Record and report any discrepancies or damages to appropriate parties.
• Label, sort, and organize received materials for storage or distribution.
• Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to customers or other facilities.
• Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Works in an ERP system to maintain logs, report issues, etc.
• Generate shipping labels and documentation using shipping software.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure all shipments are accurately labeled and comply with shipping regulations. 

Position Requirements:

• Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with shipping software and enterprise inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management, knowledge of OSHA and all other safety protocols.
• Can safely operate a forklift and other tools involved in material handling.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, push or  and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, walk, and bend, crouch, lift, climb stairs and ladders, load and unload materials to/from vans, trucks for extended periods.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other common tools and equipment.

Work Environment

• This role works primarily work in a manufacturing environment, in a shipping/receiving area.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, coolants, and temperature variations (internal and external).

For candidates in CA: The base hourly pay range for this full-time position is $19.33 - $32.84 hourly, non-exempt.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
