Associate Attorney at Synectics Inc.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Defense Associate to join a collaborative defense practice handling a variety of complex matters, including toxic tort/product liability, trucking/transportation, and premises liability. This opportunity is open to new California Bar admittees and attorneys with up to 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle matters involving toxic tort and product liability.
• Support litigation involving trucking and transportation claims.
• Defend premises liability matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Work independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff.
• Manage assigned matters, deadlines, and case responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• Open to new admittees through attorneys with up to 5 years of experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest or experience in civil defense litigation preferred.
