Champion of operations transformation (improvement) within a portfolio of specialty businesses in Chemours’ Chemical Solutions business unit. Influence leadership position providing functional guidance to business leadership, site unit managers, site quality coordinators/managers, supply chain organization and sales/marketing organization. Chemical Solutions Operations Transformation Leader responsible for managing the Workstream’s pipeline of Initiatives; liaising with the Transformation Office on behalf of the Workstream; and engaging with key stakeholders to deliver the overall workstream’s transformation goals.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develops strategies and tactics to improve global quality performance. Orchestrate implementation of improvement programs to deliver lowest cost of non-conformance, minimize customer complaints, achieve target performance for 2nd and 3rd party quality audits.

  • Leading the development of a Quality Culture by providing on-site support and training to the local, manufacturing site based Quality Managers in identifying and eliminating vulnerabilities, establishing a community of best practices, standardizing processes and enhancing proactivity.

  • Leading the development and implementation of effective and efficient quality systems for managing and enhancing Quality throughout the manufacturing - order fulfillment - product use chain in collaboration with Global Supply Chain, Corporate Global Quality, Procurement & Technology functions.

  • Leverages and implements best practices and operating systems across Chemical Solutions.

  • Based on program (i.e. quality) conducts gap analyses of current capabilities and devise and lead an execution plan to successful implementation.

  • Establish transformation goals and targets by leading a coordinated and comprehensive due diligence process across the Chemical Solutions Operations team.

  • Lead weekly cadence within operations to drive initiative delivery versus defined targets.

  • Push initiatives relentlessly forward by supporting, coaching and challenging initiative owners and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and resolve cross-functional issues between transformation workstreams within Chemical Solutions.

  • Raise barriers to execution of initiatives and drive accountability to initiative owners.

  • Lead key special projects for Operations.

  • Champion lean thinking and develop a solution focused approach to drive continuous improvement across integrated operations and the business.

To be qualified for this role, you /must/ possess the following:

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Chemical or other Engineering discipline, or other relevant field from an accredited college or university

  • A demonstrated track record of driving continual improvement

  • Experience addressing internal, customer, and supplier issues

  • Green belt 6 sigma certified

  • Proven ability to challenge the status quo and lead change

  • Excellent communication and people skills and the ability to tactfully interact with internal and external customers

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
