What Outside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health


Outside Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new clients. The sales cycles will tend to be complex in nature and develop over an intermediate time period. Can be characterized as a C-Suite selling process/level of engagement.

This position falls within the Home Healthcare Solutions channel of Cardinal Health at-Home.


**Can be based in Ohio or Michigan and will manage a 4-state region (OH, MI, WV & KY)


Accountabilities


  • Responsible for selling the Cardinal Health at-Home DME distribution services and solutions to Home Health and Hospice organizations
  • Focus solely on new business development (independent contributor/hunter orientation)
  • Excel within our client focus: Home Health and Hospice
  • Pipeline management, territory development and prospecting
  • Demonstrate the ability to succeed in a complex selling environment
  • MUST have a proven track record of overachieving on sales goals and be able to demonstrate an outstanding history of success
  • Manage a multi-state territory of approx. 4 states and spearhead new revenue growth for HHS
  • B2B and healthcare/medical sales experience; embrace a strong sales hunting mentality
  • Possess strong pipeline management skills within a longer sales cycle
  • Pull together pricing proposals and DME supply usage files for competitive analyses
  • Develop multi-layer relationships with CEO/COO/CFO & other influential leaders within a business
  • Must be comfortable and experienced selling and presenting to a C-Suite target audience

Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree highly preferred
  • 5+ years of related healthcare/medical sales experience required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Proven product knowledge in business area
  • Prior Home Health/Hospice sales experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
  • C-Suite level presentation & engagement abilities
  • Proven track record of success managing complex sales cycles
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and attainment goals
