Octo Consulting Group is seeking a SharePoint Architect to assist a Government client in the SharePoint Architecture design, projects, and data gathering. The architect will be the primary point of contact for the SharePoint presence and serve as Subject Matter Expert.


Responsibilities:


  • Cloud Services and Computing, Mobile Platforms and Applications, Large-scale storage systems experience would be a plus


  • Provides high-level architectural expertise for DCoE SharePoint infrastructure and subject matter expertise.


  • Provide scope planning, architecture planning and license planning of current and future projects.


  • Provide technical architecture analysis including hardware, software, security, and CAC enabling, and related support. Provide single sign-on and CAC enabling security features including tools to administer user access and information access levels.


  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and advanced searched capabilities.


  • Support DCoE with comprehensive management reporting metrics including algorithms, data outputting, key performance indicators, and statistical displays.


  • Provide backups, data restores, and third level support and troubleshooting.


  • Provide System Administration duties for all SharePoint Instances


  • Develop and create standardized SharePoint master pages. Develop and Create custom SharePoint workflows, web Parts, and layouts per DCoE Customer requirements


  • Work with the client technology team to set the strategic direction, the enterprise architecture stack, and the standards in the development process.


  • Collaborate with government Program Manager and COTR to communicate milestones and ensure on-time delivery.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field)


  • Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and must hold an active Public Trust or higher level security clearance


  • Candidate must be have an active 8570 IAT II compliant certification:


  • Security +


  • Relevant SharePoint Certs


  • Candidate must have a current MCSE or other hi-level certification demonstrating technical competency in computer science


  • Minimum 3 years of experience architecting large scale enterprise SharePoint farm:


  • Must be able to architect, design, document and implement end to end solutions based on customer requirements


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).


  • An effective team member with the ability to meet targets under constraints, a strong ability to grasp new concepts with ease, excellent presentation skills, an effective communicator

Desired Experience


  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack with demonstrated expertise on the SharePoint platform and experience with enterprise projects on SharePoint including intranet and extranet portals as well as external web sites


  • Solid understanding and proven ability with SharePoint 2010/2013, Office 365 / SharePoint Online, Web parts, Visual Studio, AJAX, SQL Server, Web services, WCF, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint features, Visual Studio, BDC/BCS, ASP.NET, .Net, WWF


  • Experience with other products in SharePoint ecosystems


  • Experience with creation and modification of master/layout pages, web parts and other components.


  • Professional and consultative mindset with commitment for excellent customer service.


  • Ability to come up with creative solutions for ambiguous problems and learn quickly.


  • Strong background in data modeling, database design, SQL, indexing


  • Experience delivering high-volume Internet applications


  • Proven record of providing technical solutions to complex business requirements


  • Proven record of leading technical teams to deliver successful projects


  • Ability to collaborate enterprise-wide
