Job Summary


Reporting to the Associate Director, Program Management, this role will work across two key functions within Spero Therapeutics. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Team leader on one of Spero?s key early phase programs, SPR720, as well as with the CMC team to convert strategic objectives into operational project plans and to meet the goals/timelines for those projects.


This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the Spero team by contributing to both our early and late stage development programs.


Responsibilities


  • Create detailed cross-functional project plans/timelines ranging from early development to commercialization, which incorporate development considerations, track and communicate progress at a level of detail and in a format consistent with Spero standards to the appropriate stakeholders.


  • SPR720: Work with Program Team Leader and cross-functional matrixed Program Teams to manage the planning, development, and execution of a key early development program in the Spero portfolio.


  • CMC: Work with the CMC Lead as we prepare for Commercial readiness of our lead product candidate, SPR994.


  • Leads team meetings and ensures that clear agendas are set, and actions and decisions are documented, communicated and committed to, enabling timeline achievement.


  • Utilizes effective communication skills to facilitate appropriate information exchange between Functional Lines, Development Program Leader, Core Teams and senior management.


  • Work with the Program Teams to proactively identify risks and issues, and avoid/mitigate them.


  • Identify, assist with, and track action items and deliverables.


  • Work with Program Team Lead and CMC lead, and Finance to develop and track budgets against program objectives.


  • Assist with other project and/or operational tasks, as needed.

Qualifications and Experience


  • 7-10 years of experience, including a minimum 3-5 years? experience in Pharma or Biotech project management, preferably in a CMC facing role.


  • BS/BA required; degree in scientific field preferred. Graduate degree preferred.


  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and working successfully in a diverse team.


  • Demonstrated success comprehending and communicating the big picture while also identifying and managing the details.


  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment, build consensus and drive resolution of issues while maintaining positive working relationships across functions.


  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence without direct authority.


  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in project management practices, project planning, and decision-making.


  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.


  • Excellent written and presentation skills, and information management skills.
