The Family Worker provides a variety of social services to the parent population.


Reports to: Social Work Supervisor


Location: Belmont Family Service Center


Hours: 35 hours, exempt


Major Duties:


  • Assist participants with concrete services through collaborations with off-site advocate services.


  • Liaison and follow-up with service providers.


  • Must be able to accompany clients to needed appointments.


  • Must be able to engage in a range of crisis intervention techniques.


  • Document casework activities.


  • Coordinate activities for participants and children.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma and one or more year’s related experience required.


  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Must be bilingual English/Spanish.


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word.


  • Must be able to make home visits and accompany clients to needed appointments.


  • Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development perspective.
