Job Description


The Medical/Technical Writer Reviewer - Temp will primarily perform review of corporate materials for scientific/clinical claims collection and processing forregulatory efforts in orthopedic spine devices and related requirements. Additional responsibilities will include working with the medical/technical writing team in completion of clinical evaluation reports (CERs) and other documents related to requirements within EU MDR. You will have direct interaction with the Medical Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams for both claims collection, archiving, and review functions.


· Review corporate and other documents for medical/scientific claims related to NuVasive, NuVasive Specialized Orthopedics, or other entities.


· Populate, maintain, and archive a log of medical/scientific claims.


· Work with the medical writing team to define and create standardize claims output for CERs.


· Liaise with the product development and management teams for proactive collection of claims in corporate documentation.


· Support medical writing efforts with document review, as needed.


· Work cross-functionally to ensure adherence to submission and company-driven deadlines.


· Provide adequate editorial review and, where applicable, produce clear, accurate, and grammatically correct written work for a variety of audiences.


· Assist research and other project team members in additional responsibilities as required.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Life Science, Biological Science, or related discipline


  • An understanding of basic scientific/medical principles and terminology (especially if coming from a non-science education background)


  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and scientific search engines (PubMed, Google Scholar)

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience as a medical/technical writer or reviewer in a healthcare-related field/industry
