The Citi Intelligence Center (CIC) is part of the Information Protection Directorate’s Cyber Security organization and responsible for developing, analyzing, and sharing cyber threat intelligence to protect Citi, its brand, and clients from cyberattacks worldwide. In support of this mission, the CIC develops cyber threat alerts, reports, briefings, and other products and services to a variety of Citi stakeholders. The CIC team is globally dispersed and works closely with a number of business and information security partners on a variety of topics.


The CIC’s Director will be responsible for:


  • Driving the vision, strategy, and mission accomplishment of the entire CIC organization.


  • Leading, supporting, and developing globally dispersed intelligence professionals.


  • Creating, documenting, and implementing formal intelligence collection and production plans.


  • Delivering expert cyber intelligence services and materials to internal and external audiences.


  • Monitoring, reporting, and providing timely alerts regarding any cyber threats with a direct or indirect impact to Citi, its partners, or clients.


  • Being the all source collection manager for all Citi intelligence teams.


  • Developing predictive analytics and assessments to counter future cyber threats.


  • Evaluating, and testing intelligence tools and ensuring vendor delivery.


  • Actively engaging in liaison activities with the cyber threat community to include industry associations, peer financial institutions, and information sharing communities.


  • Closely coordinating and supporting other Citi information security teams such as the Cyber Security Fusion Centers, Security Operations Centers, Vulnerability Assessment, Investigations, Cyber “Hunt” Teams, Big Data Analysis, Crisis Management, and Exercises.


  • Working under tight deadlines to handle multiple/detail oriented tasks.


  • Briefing Citi’s executive management team, senior leaders, and information security professional on cyber threat trends, emerging challenges and relevant insights to Citi businesses.


  • Developing and maintaining intelligence related policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.


  • Engaging with audit, compliance, and regulatory bodies globally.


  • Leading information and intelligence-sharing initiatives with peers, governments, and sharing organizations world-wide.


  • Developing program quality metrics.

Qualifications


  • 15 years or more experience leading intelligence, analytic, or investigative teams with at least 5 years of cyber security related leadership experience preferred; or 10 years in cyber intelligence with at least five managing cross-disciplinary cyber intelligence teams.


  • Proven ability to successfully drive and develop teams that work remotely and across multiple geographic time zones.


  • Experience in taking intelligence related requirements and turning them into final products or presentations on time and on point.


  • Strong knowledge of cyber security threat actors particularly their tactics, techniques, procedures, tradecraft, and noteworthy attacks.


  • Exceptional communications skills (oral and written) with a history of successfully engaging with groups such as Boards of Directors, executive management teams, and senior business leaders both internally and externally.


  • Ability to provide the strategic direction for the production of intelligence products while successfully overseeing the creation, review, and presentation of analytic findings.


  • Understanding of technology systems such as networks, applications, servers, cloud, authentication, and emerging technologies.


  • Experience working with information security teams such as fusion centers, security operations centers, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability threat management, security incident management, cyber “hunt,” and big data analysis.


  • Managed or worked closely with public and private sector intelligence organizations with a strong understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and capabilities.


  • Significant experience working in or with financial services companies at the most senior levels.


  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with little oversight while managing a large, globally distributed team.


  • Able to develop and operate within a set financial budget.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.


  • Degrees and/or Certifications in computer forensics, information security, and similar preferred.
