East West Bank is seeking a Temporary Loan Monitoring Specialist. The Loan Monitoring Specialist is responsible for creating & maintaining financial and reporting covenants in the loan monitoring system, generating customer notification letters regarding their reporting covenants. Responsibilities also include support and assistance to commercial lending teams regarding loan monitoring activities and the loan monitoring system. In addition, the Loan Monitoring Specialist will support FNMA loan financial spreading and monitoring as needed.

  • Create customer profiles, reporting covenants and financial covenants in loan monitoring system

  • Maintain/update customer profiles, reporting covenants and financial covenants in loan monitoring system based on credit approval, loan agreement and other loan-related documents

  • Provide assistance to Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers on general inquiries/requests regarding loan monitoring process and loan monitoring system

  • Generate customer notification letters for the collection of reporting covenant

  • Perform financial spreading on FNMA loan portfolio Process other miscellaneous activities as requested

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business-related majors or equivalent work experience

  • 1 year of banking experience and/or equivalent work experience required.

  • Quick-learning capability required

  • Attention to detail

  • IBS Insight, LPS and CASH experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills preferred

  • Good knowledge of Commercial Loan Documentation with Attorney prepared documents and LaserPro required

  • Excellent written, verbal and comprehension communication skills required

  • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
