The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of Business and Financial Analysis and will be responsible for executing strategic projects and goals within The IMA Financial Group’s Finance and Accounting department.


Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Support overall Accounting and Finance department on special projects as directed.


  • Assist in the corporate annual budget process and provide periodic forecasting as directed


  • Execute monthly financial and management reporting for all divisions and departments, including Board representatives on a monthly basis with careful attention to detail, thoughtful examination, insightful discussion, and accuracy.


  • Perform project/initiative, business case, and ad hoc scenario analyses to inform planning. Providing insight and recommendation as directed.


  • Involvement with Finance & Accounting systems evolution. Assist in system evaluation, selection, and integration, as needed. Achieve Subject Matter Expert status related to systems functionality and reporting.


  • Responsible for creation, analysis, and ongoing participation in industry benchmarking studies


  • Assist with merger and acquisition diligence and internal modeling structure providing insight and recommendation to facilitate evaluation of acquisition prospects as directed.


  • Prepare long-term financial plans in support of corporate strategic initiatives and planning.


  • Assist in the analysis of customer and product profitability


  • Manage relationships with senior business executives across the organization. To include the discovery and development of relevant, meaningful management reporting solutions tailored to stakeholder and business unit leadership needs & requirements.


  • Assist in development of data integrity and consistency program and structure.


  • Complete special and ad hoc projects as assigned.


  • Two years to five years of progressively more advanced similar or related experience


  • 4‑year Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or related field or equivalent experience; MBA or related graduate degree a plus


  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills


  • Demonstrated analytical skills in valuation techniques, financial modeling


  • Self-starter with ability to manage multi‑task operations/projects and work in a fast‑paced environment


  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills


  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; comfort with executive interactions


  • Proven track record as a team player with strong business ethics


  • General office demands. Occasional travel up to 20%
