The Partner Credit Card Group represents over half of the credit sales and balances for the Retail Payment Solutions division of U.S. Bank, representing 14 cobrands and 1,400 agent banking partners. The Head of Partner Strategy will lead high-impact and cross-division strategic efforts including representing the Partner Group for cobrand business development and client retention efforts and driving the prioritization of critical partner capability development. In addition, this position will lead one or more of our cobrand portfolios, driving profitable growth and managing the executive relationship(s).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to pursue objectives of unit(s)

  • Sustain profitability and growth of unit(s)

  • Create and maintain cost-effective programs for unit(s)

  • Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc


Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of banking experience

  • 5 years of management experience

  • BA/MBA in finance, business administration, or related field

Preferred Experience:

  • Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills

  • In-depth understanding of business functions and processes supported

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills

  • Ability to influence the execution of highly complex or specialized projects and to adapt precedent and make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop innovative solutions
