Responsible for verifying test requisition forms, specimen packing and shipping, ordering lab supplies and contacting the home office regarding questions or issues with billing information.

  • Prepare test requisitions or electronic requisitions including patient demographics

  • Review all MH requisition forms and/or orders for completion and accuracy before shipping specimens for testing

  • Coordinate with courier services for pickup of specimens; may drop off specimens at UPS/FedEx when applicable

  • Provide specimen collection device and instructions to the patient

  • Access the practice’s EMR system to print patient demographics and upload test reports (if agreement on file)

  • Assist in resolving issues with missing/incomplete billing information; resolve billing issues as it relates to patient demographics and insurance information

  • Print and organize MH test reports or collect faxed test reports for the practice. Can download reports upload into the practice’s EMR system

  • Order supplies (requisition forms, PGT oral swabs, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc.) and inventory at the practice

  • Work with company related documentation to ensure same have been completed for test ordering by the practice

  • May be required to travel (drive), if working at multiple practices and on the rare occasion for other company related business

  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations to assure patient confidentiality

  • Regular and reliable attendance

Required Skills

  • High School diploma minimum

  • Regular and reliable attendance

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Flexibility to change work hours according to business needs

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to follow directions

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • General computer skills

  • Clean driving record

  • Valid driver’s license
