Job Description

Join and lead an elite team of Post Silicon Power and Performance (PnP) Optimization and have an impact on Intel's next generation client products. This is a great opportunity to lead PnP end-to-end in order to deliver world class PnP leadership. Responsibilities include understanding SoC architecture and characterization, PnP optimization, as well as identifying further opportunities to close the gap with respect to pre-silicon targets. As a technical lead, you will drive optimizations through analysis of workloads and silicon behavior. In this role, you will also manage the team; however, as a strong technical lead, you need to provide technical guidance to the team to help them trouble shoot the issues and make progress.

The job requirements include but not limited to:

  • Understanding silicon parametrics across distributions (Vmins, Cdyn, leakage, transistor performance, etc.) and their impacts on Product PnP

  • Understanding workloads in order to maximize performance for a constrained power envelope

  • System level understanding of power management flows at the hardware, firmware, and driver levels

  • In-depth level understanding of hardware power management such as P-states and C-states

  • Analysis of silicon power consumption versus pre-silicon expectations and drive resolution of issues towards longer battery life or higher performance at different utilization points

  • SoC-level optimization under various usage scenarios

  • Close interface with architecture, design, and platform engineers

  • Contributing towards power management optimizations flows for future products

  • Managing the lab equipment needs of the team-

-Track record of practical problem solving and documentation skills

  • Excellent communication and interaction skills

  • Result oriented



  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with at least 12 years of industry experience. Ph.D. is a plus.

  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience as well as great managerial skills to lead and manage a team of about 20 engineers.

  • Familiarity with CPU and GPU architecture

  • Technical understanding of V/f curves, silicon parametrics

  • Work experience (5+) in the field of Power and Performance optimizations on a SoC

  • Technical understanding of workloads, benchmarking, and TDP power recipes
