Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Director, Strategic Account Management, and working collaboratively with market and corporate business partners, the Strategic Account Management Specialist will:


  • Provide strategic communications support and counsel for corporate/market-level initiatives.


  • Lead cross-functional communications planning teams in support of enterprise-wide initiatives and projects that include, but are not limited to: NCQA-related activities, AOP goals, new-product implementations, member education and engagement campaigns, market research planning and other deliverables.


  • Serve as a project manager, leading and integrating the work efforts and deliverables of large multi-function project teams whose impact spans one or more regions, in collaboration with plan managers, Creative Services, Editorial Services, Digital Services, Internal Communications, Media Relations, Compliance and Legal.


  • Provide support to multiple projects with often aggressive, but achievable stakeholder deadlines.


  • Exercises significant judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.


  • Serve as a back-up plan manager, managing, as needed, some day-to-day contact with the markets to ensure a high level of service is provided and to ensure that the plans’ needs are met.


  • Manage plan communications document library on SharePoint.


  • Manage ad-hoc and special communications projects as requested by leadership.


  • Develop reports, meeting minutes and carry out other administrative duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree.


  • 3-5 years writing experience in a corporate or agency environment or in a similar communications field.


  • Excellent project management skills


  • Ability to develop well-written, clear and compelling copy quickly.


  • Excellent writing, researching, editing and proofreading skills.


  • General knowledge of contractual requirements


  • Creativity, accountability, discipline and integrity.


  • Ability to write clear, compelling content in various styles/formats to varying audiences


  • Has broad understanding of departmental functions, policies, procedures and practices


  • Strong problem solving, analytical and research skills.


  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is essential.


  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
