Tripwire, a Belden company, is now seeking a Worldwide Renewals Sales Manager for our Portland, OR office.


Our Manager of Worldwide Renewal Sales will lead the six-person renewals team in maximizing Tripwire's support renewals business while promoting customer success and retention. This is a job that requires a unique combination of people management, sales and analytic skills. The position is located in Portland, Oregon and reports to the Director of Sales Operations.


Responsibilities for our Worldwide Renewals Sales Manager will include:



  • Provide management oversight and guidance to the six-person team of Renewals Reps, coaching the individuals on sales techniques, process improvements and career development
  • Identify and implement operational processes to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the renewals team
  • Assist in negotiation and closing individual renewal deals as needed; review and approve discounts and special terms
  • Achieve or exceed sales quotas and renewal rate targets on a monthly basis
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts of the renewal business
  • Analyze and track renewals performance and provide weekly status updates to sales and financial management; identify potential risks and execute proactive remediation strategies
  • Assist in setting monthly, quarterly and yearly renewal targets, taking into account the renewal pool, early renewals, late renewals, price uplifts and multi-year contracts
  • Work closely and cooperatively with the Tripwire field sales organization to coordinate account strategies to ensure overall customer success and to maximize Tripwire revenues
  • Work closely and cooperatively with the Tripwire resellers and channel partners to coordinate account strategies and ensure on-time renewals
  • Identify, develop and promote strategies and programs to improve customer success and retention in collaboration with other Tripwire departments

Required Skills and Experience for our Worldwide Renewals Sales Manager position:



  • 3+ years of experience in managing people and departments
  • 5+ years working as a sales rep, customer success manager, or other role within the sales organization
  • Strong process orientation with a proven ability to establish and optimize sales processes and procedures
  • Proven analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise; comfortable with Salesforce.com reporting and Excel-based analyses
  • Ability to learn and assimilate technical information quickly
  • Experience and understanding of IT systems and enterprise software 4-year degree and/or 8+ years of industry experience
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management and roles both internally and within customer organizations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must be detail oriented and a highly organized team player
  • Enthusiastic, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
