The Intake Coordinator is accountable to the Director of Admissions/Intake and is responsible for implementing the organization's assessment/admission procedures. The position requires decisions of consequences and independent judgment specifically relating to the organization's service delivery and marketing objectives. The Intake Coordinator is knowledgeable in patient growth and development stages in the human life span as it is related to the admissions process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: RN, LPN, BS or BA degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field. At least one year of experience in an admissions role for health care facility.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, patient evaluations and information reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community. Ability to communicate on an effective level with physicians, patients, referral sources, and staff from a variety of disciplines.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
