P-8 Vehicle Simulation Software Engineer – Entry Level


Who You Are


You are a Software Engineer with a background in developing real time software and DevOps in an agile environment. Avionics simulations and/or training device experience is a plus. You have the ability to work as part of a large team with many different products and deliverables.


Are you interested in learning to fly a P-8 simulator while developing and maintaining the simulation software used to train our nation's military pilots?


The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer to start a career with a team where Software really matters. We are seeking college graduates to work on a variety of exciting opportunities with training systems products in St. Louis, Missouri. Training Systems is responsible for the design, manufacture, development, and maintenance of a wide variety of commercial and military training devices.

Security Clearance


This position requires an active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Implement P-8 vehicle simulation devops software in an agile software development environment.
  • Clearly communicate technical information to other engineers and to management.
  • Understand and work within the boundaries of budget and schedule demands.
  • Participate in software design and implementation peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive high quality deliverable software.
  • Contribute to team shared process and "how to" documentation on the team wiki or other venue.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of C++ and Python
  • DevOps Experience
  • Experience with or related coursework with modeling and simulation of complex systems

Education/experience


Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master and related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
