Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.

As part of the Enterprise Data Environments Transformation (EDET) group, Enterprise Data Remediation (EDR) team members are an important part of the overall DMI data management framework. EDR provides support to Line of Business and functional support teams to remediate high priority data issues by designing and implementing solutions for collecting, managing, and consuming data in a manner consistent with the DMI data strategy. The candidate should have experience defining processes and managing large portfolios.

The Enterprise Data Remediation (EDR) Business Relationship / Reporting - Business Support Consultant 4 will report to Data Management Manager supporting Traded Products domain.

Primary responsibilities within this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the review and maintenance of operational activities for assigned remediation team to ensure adherence to policy/procedure administration as set out by Enterprise, Audit, DMI and EDR Business Execution teams
  • Provide communication of requirements, training and guidance to assigned remediation team to ensure socialization and implementation of any new and/or changing policies, procedures, or operational practices
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of remediation team's operating model. Includes aiding teams in identification, enhancement and design, process implementation, documentation and defining efficiency metrics to track and measure improvements
  • Create and maintain portfolio level roadmap of remediation team's work efforts across domains as well as provide input for combined EDET level roadmaps
  • In partnership and/or in response to EDR Business Execution team, support the preparation and presentation of materials for various levels of management on business performance and remediation progress. Includes supporting the preparation of enterprise governance and committee reporting materials, stakeholder updates, monthly and adhoc reporting
  • Engage with business partners to understand, document, track, and report on remediation progress of data issues against business priorities. Requires significant engagement with the DMI Business Data Lead teams.
  • Track, oversee and report on budget and finances for assigned remediation team.

Additional responsibilities may include: Support of systems/change initiatives, business continuity planning, SLA negotiation/development, ad hoc reporting and analysis, requirements gathering and documentation, project funding tracking, pipeline review, quality management, MBO development.

The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of project management/coordination, analytical and business problem solving skills with heavy focus on quality, accuracy, and business user interaction. They must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, provide the levels of support as requested, have appropriate interpersonal communications skills to be able to work well in either collaborative or independent working environments, ensure processes are in place to quickly adjust when changes occur, and lead by example.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 1+ year of risk and regulatory compliance experience
  • 2+ years of budget management experience
  • 2 + years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise wide business initiatives
  • 2+ years of project implementation experience
  • 3+ years of experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting
  • 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • 3+ years of Microsoft office suite experience such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully managing deliverables, expert knowledge of data management, data analysis and remediation concepts and practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in implementation and strategic planning
  • Experience working on Microsoft Visio
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, actively participate in projects/discussions, work through problems, and help deliver results

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
